Animal Matters

The Vincennes Pet Port is responsible for the welfare and control of animals within the city. The Animal Control Commission consists of five members serving two-year terms. Members are appointed by the Mayor and the City Council. The Animal Control Commission is responsible for educating the pubic, hearing citizen`s complaints regarding animal control problems, and providing solutions to these problems in an advisory capacity.

Vincennes Pet Port

The Vincennes Pet Port serves stray, homeless or surrendered animals and attempts to find new homes for these animals.

Those interested in a pet can visit the shelter in Vincennes.

Adoption Fees:

  • Cats $30
  • Dogs $40 - $70
  • Kittens $10

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday : 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Saturday : 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Closed on Sunday and Wednesday
