Gregg Park is considered the center-piece of the Vincennes Parks
system. Set on 40 acres, Gregg Park has everything to offer. Two shelter
houses; an Enclosed Shelter House with restrooms a spacious Open
Shelter House with restrooms located near by. A Bandshell for rentals
and outdoor concerts, two tennis courts with lights, a sand volleyball
court, a fenced - in area for horse shoes with eight clay horse shoe
pits. And of course plenty of playground equipment, with a ADA play area
located directly across from the Enclosed Shelter House.
Four Lakes Park has an open shelter house with restrooms available
for rentals, a multipurpose court, a basketball court, a fishing dock,
and plenty of space for fishing from the bank. Four Lakes is also home
of the Vincennes Lincoln High School Girls Softball Field.
Lester Square Park has a basketball court, a small grass field for
baseball, softball, and kickball, playground facilities, a sand
volleyball area, and restroom facilities. The newest edition to Lester
Square is are 1200 sq. ft. Skatepark! the Lester Square Skatepark has 2
quarter pipes, 2 banks, 2 grind rails, 1 3-sided pyramid, and 1 launch
box. The skatepark has been a huge success. In 2007 Professional Skater
Chad Knight was on hand for our 1 year Anniversary celebration and
skated with the kids.
Chicago Park includes a multi-purpose court, ball diamond, playground
apparatus and shelter house. Access to the Tecumseh Walking Trail, new
sidewalks, grills for the Shelter house, and a new restroom.
Kimmell Park is one of our oldests parks and is located along the
Wabash River. There are 10 rv/camper sites with electric and water
hook-up, areas for tent camping. Restrooms with shower facilities. An
Open Shelter House for family reunions and special gatherings.
Playground equipment and a basketball court. Kimmell Park also has a ADA
Boat Ramp and plenty of space for "bank" fishing. Come bring your
family out for a day on the river or just sit back and watch the Wabash
flow by, either way Kimmell Park is a great way to spend your day.
