Four U.S. 41 Bridges in Vincennes Scheduled for Maintenance

KNOX COUNTY Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions for U.S. 41 south of Vincennes for bridge deck overlay projects.

Beginning on or around Wednesday April 12, crews with E & B Paving will begin restricting lanes just south of Vincennes on U.S. 41 to rehab four bridges. Work will be performed on bridges just south of the Willow Street interchange, just south of Industrial Park Boulevard, and just south of Elkhorn Road. During construction, U.S. 41 will be brought down to one lane in both directions. Construction is expected to last until late May, depending upon weather conditions.

Under the same contract around mid-May, crews will begin working on U.S. 50 west of U.S. 41 near Vincennes to perform a bridge deck overlay on bridges spanning Snap Creek.

During the project, lanes will be restricted around the clock. INDOT urges motorists to adhere to the work zone speed limit and stay alert near workers.
