The City of Vincennes is again this year organizing the July 4th Parade. Any individual, church, group, club or other organization is encouraged to participate and may do so by completing a parade entry form.
Forms may be picked up in City Hall at 201 Vigo Street between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays. Visit the City Website Home Page to submit an entry form online. Forms may also be obtained by calling 882-7285 and requesting one be emailed to you.
The July 4th Parade line-up will begin at 5:30 that Monday evening and the parade itself will step off at 7:30 p.m. All entries are asked to report to the corner of 1st and Main to receive line-up information and directions to their spot in the parade.
This years parade will follow the traditional route from 2nd and Hart to 7th Street; from 7th and Hart to Main Street; from 7th & Main to Second Street, and from Second Street to Broadway. To insure everyones safety, no items of any kind may be thrown from parade entries. To distribute items to parade viewers along the route, walkers must accompany the entry. All moving units must have at least one fire extinguisher on board and accessible.
