The Vincennes Street and Sanitation Department has delivered the new trash Toters to most city residences. If you have already called the Street Department to request a Toter, your name and address has been put on a list and the Toter will be delivered as soon as possible; it is not necessary to call again. For the time being, anyone who does not have a Toter can place their bags - with trash stickers - on the curb as they have always done and it will be picked up. The only exception will be Monday trash pickup which has been moved to Thursday.
When all of the new Toters have been delivered to residents, the new rules will go into effect and all bags must be stickered amd placed in the new totes in order to be picked up by the city. If residents wish to purchase an additional Toter for $60.00 each, please make payment to the Clerk-Treasurer at city hall by calling 882-6426. If you have received a Toter and will not be using it, please contact the Vincennes City Street Department so it can be used by another resident.
