Inspector’s Office

Brad Snider, City Inspector

205 Vigo Street
Vincennes, IN 47591

Phone: (812) 882-3338

The City Inspector’s Office enforces the Vincennes City Code of Ordinances. The first thing we do when a violation is reported to us is to make sure the report is valid. Then we will send out a letter to the landowner on record for the property with such violation with a deadline for when the violation must be corrected.

Deadlines for our most common violations are:

Garbage or Trash left out – 3 Days
Grass and Weeds over 6 inches – 5 Days
Junk and Debris – 10 Days

If for some reason you are unable to get the violation corrected within the time frame allotted, we understand that sometimes “things” happen.
Please call or stop by our office, we are more than willing to work out a reasonable compromise with you. We want to keep our City clean and beautiful for your enjoyment and that of others who may visit us.

Complaints:

If you have a complaint on an address inside the Vincennes City limits you may contact our office by phone or email.
