Gregg Park

pic4Gregg Park is considered the center-piece of the Vincennes Parks system. Set on 40 acres, Gregg Park has everything to offer. Two shelter houses; an Enclosed Shelter House with restrooms a spacious Open Shelter House with restrooms located near by. A Bandshell for rentals and outdoor concerts, pickleball courts with lights, a sand volleyball court, a fenced – in area for horse shoes with eight clay horse shoe pits. And of course plenty of playground equipment, with a ADA play area located directly across from the Enclosed Shelter House.

Gregg Park is full of rich history, from its early days as home of the Knox County Fair, to the building of three WPA projects in the late 1930’s, up to today where Gregg Park has been recognized for its historic significance by being place on the National and State Register of Historic Places.
